REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY: LOGICAL ERROR VERSUS BIBLICAL TRUTH CONCERNING THE
JEWS
REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY:
THEOLOGICAL ERROR VERSUS BIBLICAL TRUTH CONCERNING THE JEWS
By Rabbi/Brother Moshe Yoseph Koniuchowsky
Error: Israel has been replaced by the
Christian church. All of Yahweh’s purposes. The church is the historic
continuation of the Jewish nation.
Error: The Jewish people are now no
different from any other group or people. To single them out as being favored is
incorrect,
Error: Apart from being born again and
being included in the Christian church, the Jews have no future or national
calling by Yahweh.
Error: Since Pentecost in 33 AD, all of
Yahweh’s promises to Israel in Deuteronomy chapters 28-33 have been
transferred to the church and those same promises to the Jews have been
terminated. Further more the curses of those same chapters remain upon the Jew
and can and r be removed.
Error: All promises to Old covenant
Israel, unless they were historically fulfilled before the coming of Yahshua,
are now the sole property of the church. The Old covenant promises to Israel
cannot be taken literally, only symbolically. Whenever the Old Testament makes
reference to Zion, Jerusalem, temple, Israel or any other Hebraic term, they are
all synonyms for the church.
Truth: Israel, the descendants of
Abraham Isaac and Jacob had and will continue to have a very important purpose
and place in the historical purposes of Yahweh.
Truth: No other nation before or since
has been positively marked out by Yahweh for divine favor. H e will continue to
work pout his purpose on the earth through them.
Truth: Even in heir unsaved state, Jews
are a people especially favored by Yahweh awaiting the revelation of the Messiah
to the entire nation. The national redemption for which Israel waits, is
promised unconditionally.
Truth: Yahweh made clear promises to
three other Jewish people that are undeniable, eternal and unconditional. If He
changed his mind because of some of their acts of disobedience, He could be
charged with deception, lying and unfaithfulness. Since this is not Yahweh’s
character he has not instituted or taught replacement theology.
Truth: The Scriptures are eternally
literal. When Yahweh refers to the temple, it is s building he has in mind. When
He refers to Jerusalem, it is a city He has in mind. When He refers to national
Israel it is a nation He has in mind. These are not interchangeable terms for
the church and cannot be taught as such.
